What’s new in Windows Intune and System Center Configuration Manager

Explore new features in Windows Intune – both as a standalone solution and when it’s combined with System Center Configuration Manager. And discover new capabilities designed for managing iOS devices.

In this episode of the Edge show Simon May and Symon Perriman talk through what’s new at Microsoft this week including highlights such as Microsoft’s New CEO announcement, Symon Perriman and Matt McSpirit’s upcoming jumpstart Virtualizing Your Data Center with Hyper-V and System Center, Microsoft and NBC’s end-to-end live streaming of the Winter Olympics entirely in the cloud, including encoding, transcoding and streaming, for the first time in history. They then switch gears and look at some tools for Information workers and IT admins with announcements that Office 365 now supports PowerBI ( very cool technology for visualizing data) and Office 365 users can protect their user accounts with Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and finally Simon get’s a little jazzed about the Windows Performance Jumpstart on MVA.

In the interview for this episode Simon May talks to Martin Booth about what’s new with Windows Intune stand alone, Windows Intune and System Center Configuration Manager working together to deliver a single pane of glass and they specifically take a look at how Windows Intune and Configuration Manager enable new features quickly through extensions. There are also new capabilities for managing iOS devices and (keep this quiet) but you’ll get to see a product roadmap! Below are the links that Martin shared to the updated documentation to help with device settings and implementation decisions.
